** The fees of Special Tests vary depending on type of test items and measurement conditions requested. The actual fees must be quoted for each individual request. Please call us before sending a purchase order to NIST.

*** Approximate fee for each quantity (luminous intensity or luminous flux). The fee will be less for many samples. Color quantities of LEDs are also available under 37100S. Please call us for the details.

  • Turnaround time will be less than 90 days from when both the purchase order and the test item have been received by NIST.
  • It is recommended that a customer laboratory maintain two items or more of the same type for the laboratory's reference standard.

Purchase order should include:

  1. Bill-to address
  2. Ship-to address (with Attn.: person)
  3. Name, address, and phone number for technical contact person
  4. Method of return shipment: Unless specified by customer, NIST will return items by common carrier. Shipping charge will be added to the calibration cost.
