F. Importing simulated line sets generated using other programs It is possible to import simulated stick spectra generated from other programs to access quantum numbers, make assignments and compare convoluted spectra with experiment data. In the SIMULATIONS CONTROL DIALOG, select a simulation channel and enter a new FILENAME. Depress the READ ASCII button to locate and open the ASCII line set file. You are then prompted with a series of questions beginning with: FORMAT WITH FREQUENCY + INTENSITY ONLY? FORMAT WITH 8 QUANTUM NUMBERS? FORMAT WITH 6 QUANTUM NUMBERS? FORMAT FOR ASYROT? Answering NO brings up the next question. Answering YES will convert the ASCII file according to the format selected and generate a new binary simulation. The ASCII file must conform to one of the following formats with each field separated by a least one space, comma, etc. FORMAT WITH FREQUENCY + INTENSITY ONLY:
FORMAT WITH 8 QUANTUM NUMBERS:
FORMAT WITH 6 QUANTUM NUMBERS:
FORMAT FOR ASYROT: for backward compatibility only.
