NIST Special Publication 250 Series from the
Optical Technology Division

The documents contained in this CD are the SP250 series published by authors from the Optical Technology Division. They describe the following calibration services offered by the Division: Spectral Response of Photodiodes, Photometry, Spectral Reflectance, and Radiance Temperature. These publications present more detail than can be given in NIST calibration reports, or than is generally allowed in articles in scientific journals. These documents describe the following attributes of the calibration services: 1) specifications for the services; 2) design philosophy and theory; 3) NIST measurement system; 4) NIST operational procedures; 5) assessment of the measurement uncertainty including random and systematic errors and an error budge; and 6) internal quality control procedures used by NIST.
