Obtaining OTD Publications

Copies of publications in the Optical Technology Division can be obtained either by viewing a preprint file using an Adobe Acrobat viewer or requesting that a printed copy be mailed to you. Where indicated by a hypertext link in our publications list, you may download a copy of the complete publication for your personal use.

You can view publications on your screen using an Adobe Acrobat viewer. If you have an Adobe Acrobat viewer on your computer, then selecting the hypertext link for a publication will download the publication (in .pdf format) to your computer and start the Acrobat viewer, which will let you view, search, or print the document. If you do not currently have an Adobe Acrobat viewer, you can download a free copy for most computers by clicking on the "Get Acrobat" icon above. This software may be downloaded without charge and is identified in order to assist users of this information service. In no case does such identification imply recommendation or endorsement by the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

To request printed copies of publications to be mailed to you, email your request to Tina Pipes and include your mailing address and full citation (authors, title, journal, and date) for each publication requested. Alternatively, you may mail your request to
